Aaron Duvalle Simpson 50, of Westerville, OH, passed away suddenly on December 20, 2020. He was born on December 21, 1969, in Akron, OH to Katherine M. Simpson and Sellywood Rice. Aaron was educated in the Akron Public School system, graduating from Firestone High School in 1988. Aaron started his college career at Salem University in West Virginia before transferring to Glenville State College in West Virginia where he graduated in 1993.
Aaron was a tremendous athlete and never met a sport he could not master. His true passion for sport was football, which he started playing as a child and continued through his college years. Post-graduation, he continued to play semi-professional football and enjoyed being a referee.
Aaron was the definition of the strong, silent type. He may have been a man of few words, but he was loving and devoted to those he loved, and he never hesitated to lend a helping hand to a stranded stranger that crossed his path.
Aaron was a proud father to his sons and stepsons. He loved attending their school functions and smiling with pride from his seat. Aaron had an amazing smile that told you exactly what he was feeling in his heart. If you wanted to see a big smile, you just needed to be near him when his grandsons yelled, Papa!!
Aaron loved fixing cars, helping his sons fix cars, and driving. He enjoyed playing video games, history across all branches, and traveling. His favorite trips included Iceland, Puerto Rico, Mexico, LA, and a family trip across the country driving to Yellow Stone. Aaron loved sharing stories about his family, his friends, and all the amazing adventures he had along the way.
