Angelia E. Robinson was born September 9, 1958, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was one of the children born to Edwin Lee Robinson and Maple Lee Robinson. Her family moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1964.
She had a passion for reading books and to become an author of her own book, which she did pursue. I will continue to honor her wishes by publishing her book soon.
She was happiest around her family, enjoying time with us all. Angelia attended a community college and Karamu theatre, where she earned her associate degree in theater and broadcasting. She worked for Cleveland Clinic for nine years where she was loved and became everyone’s play mother.
Angelia had a sense of humor that always made everyone laugh. She loved dancing and would take over the dance floor. Man, she could really cut a rug!
She met her significant other, Juan Anderson, in 2004. They formed a relationship and moved in together. They were together for 20 years. Angelia would give you her last and would do anything for you; always so caring and loving, with a heart of gold.
She battled cancer and gave a great fight, never giving up and never complained. She always said, “Cancer don’t have nothing on me because God’s got me and she was so right. The good Lord called her home.
Angelia was preceded in death by her mother, Maple Lee Robinson; father, Edwin Lee Robinson; brother, James Bouie and sister, Annie Gardner.
She leaves to cherish her memory her significant other, Juan Anderson, whom she loved so very much; siblings, Toni Robinson and Larry Robinson; nieces, Toniya Clemons, Rayniya George, Bella Claiborne, Charity Springfield, Diamond Springfield, Alberta Towns, Faith Towns and Hope Towns; nephews, Patrick Claiborne, Stephaun Robinson, Raymond George Jr., Orlando George, Tyshon Springfield, Damon Towns; and godchild, Kimberly Powell.
