John 14:3: I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Arzell Crawford took his place with the Lord on May 28, 2024, with Sharon, his loving wife of 26 years by his side.
Arzell was born on February 12,1941 in Fairfield, Alabama to the union of Wilson and Callie Crawford, both proceeded him in death.
He received his education in Brighton Alabama school system and spent many years working for Grabler Manufacturing Company and Republic Steel. Republic Steel, later becoming LTV Steel, is where he retired in 1991.
Arzell would say “I came out of the womb knowing Jesus” and he would spread the word to others about his love of God, and God’s love for you. He lived as God’s mouthpiece. He wanted everyone to know God. Along with spreading the word, he also would sing about God and his goodness for all to hear. If you were in Arzell presence you were witness to his gift of scripture and his ability to harmonize. Arzell was also an avid bowler and card player.
He accepted the Lord as his Savior as a young man in Alabama and at the time of his transition he was a member of the Grace Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Arzell’s desire to spread God’s word led him to writing a book about God’s love and God’s message to fulfill his word by action. He spent hours and days writing, right up to the days before he transitioned.
He will now finish that book with the main subject writing with him. God will now give him firsthand information.
Go into the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Mark 16:15, and so he did. He will now hear God say Well-done my faithful servant! Well done!
Along with his wife Sharon, Arzell leaves to mourn his children Theresa (Joe), Deforest (Tiffany), Kecia (Dwight) and Bernard Watts. Sons Arzell ”Chuckie” Jr. and William “Pete” Watts proceeded him in death.
His siblings, Wilma Jones, Bettie Williams, Velma Peterson, Patricia Colston, Dr. Nancy Crawford-Sanders, and Robert Crawford (Delphine). Siblings Willie James, Lorraine, Alfonso (Marjorie), Wilson Jr. (Delores), Thomas and Rev. Nardean Baxter (Gloria) Proceeded him in death.
Sister-in-laws: Delores Crawford, Marjorie Crawford, Delphine Crawford, Denise Cooper-Menefee, Joyce Wilcox (Charles), Sheila Parnther, Darlene Cooper-Clay and Estelle Cooper. His 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
In the last six months Arzell lost his mother-in-law Doris Cooper whom he was very fond of and 2 brothers-in-law Samuel and Mark Cooper.
