Ms. Barbara Jean Hickman “BJ” was born July 12^th, 1954 to William R. and Mary Hickman in St. Louis, Missouri. After relating to Cleveland, Ohio, with her mom and big brother, BJ accepted Christ and was Baptized at an early age.

She attended Glenville High School and would later become a caretaker for friend and family. She was known as a loving and caring person who would lend a listening ear and offer a true opinion.

She loved to feed her birds, tend to her plants, watch a good lifetime movie, party and lau. But most of all, she found joy in babysitting especially her great-grandchildren.

BJ transitioned to become a spiritual mom, grandma, big sister, aunt and friend on Monday, June 13, 2022.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Her twin daughter, Lashelle Hickman (Chickie); two granddaughters, Lakwana Hickman (Moo-Moo), and Misha Edwards (Pook-a-Dook); Four great-grandchildren, her “bestie” Mya (Ma-Ma) Kaidon (Fat Daddy), O’be (Oh! Oh! Oh!), and Kian (K-K. Two brothers, Frank & Audrey (Sistah) Hickman and Miller Hickman; One baby sister, Beverly &Michael (Hawk) Hawkins; One God daughter, Debra Haywood (Cakes); One son-in-law, Paul Edwards (Bologna), and longtime Clifford McMillian, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many dear friends.

BJ was predeceased by her parents: William R. and Mary Hickman; One child, Michelle Hickman (“Bird); two brothers, Willie Hickman (Will) and Fred Simms(Bubba); Her Fiance`, Larry Ramsey.
