Ben Manningham was born in Macon, Mississippi on November 16, 1930 to Alfred Sr. and Mulissey Manningham. The family moved to Aliceville, Alabama. Ben was the second son of seven children. Ben came to Cleveland early in life and found work at Cleveland Ally Casting.
He then returned to Alabama, married, then returned to Cleveland and raised his family. Ben accepted Christ early in his life and attended Shiloh Baptist Church. In 1984, Ben married his second wife, Barbara, and later joined Beluah until his heart began to fail him. Ben retired from working in 1986.
Ben enjoyed life – he was a very warm and caring person and a friend to many. He enjoyed fishing, football and basketball, but most of all he enjoyed playing cards.
Ben was preceded in death by his father and mother, five siblings and four sons.
Ben leaves to cherish his memories his wife Barbara Manningham; one brother, Robert Manningham; four daughters – Vanessa Smith, Marcia Williams (Larry), Adriane Cotton and Marion Manningham; as well as a host of grand kids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
