Betty Janice Carter Taylor was born December 15, 1932 in Medina, Ohio. She is second eldest of six children born to the union of late Harvey Carter Sr. and Elsie Rivers Carter.
She received her education from Medina High School. She obtained her Cosmetology License and eventually earned her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at Cleveland Clinic for over 25 years in multiple departments. Her favorite department was the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
She confessed her faith in Christ at a very early age and was a faithful member of the Second Baptist Church in Medina, Ohio. She later united with Union Avenue Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Cleveland, Ohio. She found her passion in serving others, reading her bible, and sharing her love of the gospel .
Betty was united in marriage to the late Orlando Taylor I, and to this union one child was born, Orlando Taylor II.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Beatrice J. Blaney and two brothers, Roland L. Carter and Harvey H. Carter Jr.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories to her devoted son Orlando (Cheryl) Taylor; two sisters, Shirley (George) McBride and Beverly (Walter) Johnson; two grandchildren, Denise L. Glenn and Courtney L. Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
