Beverly Holloway was born on December 24, 1939 to James Allen and Vearl F. Allen. She was the eldest of three sisters. Beverly departed this life on June 22, 2024.
Beverly attended Glenville High School and Ohio University. She worked for the United States Postal Service for 33 years, where she met her now husband of 59 years Oscar Holloway. She retired from the Post Office in 1996 after many years of dedicated service. She was also a member of Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Eastern Star and the Daughters of Isis – El Hasa.
Beverly was a strong, independent and intelligent woman. She was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who had a passion for reading, thrift stores and weather forecasting.
Beverly loved to stimulate her mind by doing crosswords, Sudoku, calligraphy and World of Puzzles. She was a walker who was often seen walking great distances. She also loved to travel throughout the country on bus trips with her travel club.
Beverly loved listening to a wide range of music from opera to classical and jazz to rhythm and blues.
She leaves to cherish her memories a husband Oscar, two sons Michael and Todd, her only grandson Tyonn, Cousin Francis, three nieces Kim, Beverly and Dakota, three nephews, Raymond, Rodney and David as well as grand nephews, stepsons and friends.
