Bishop A. Montgomery, Jr. was born in Warrensville Heights, Ohio on June 5, 1968, as the only child to Grace and Bishop Montgomery Sr. Bishop passed to be with the Lord peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday morning, January 28, 2025.
He attended the Warrensville Heights school system from elementary through high school, graduating from Warrensville Heights High School in 1986. He went on to attend Central State University and Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY.

Bishop had most recently worked at Progressive Insurance as a senior multi-product agent, where he served for 18 years. He held several other positions prior to working at Progressive such as Ohio Savings Bank and Comp USA.
Bishop was excellent with technology; exploring new electronics brought him much joy. His mother lovingly jokes that he had a gadget for everything. He was an avid game and card player; and was a foodie to the end. His appetite never failed him. Bishop loved life and all his family and friends including a handful of lifetime friends who he felt as close to as a brother.
Bishop will always be remembered as a man of unwavering faith. His trust in God gave him a steady assurance and unshakeable positivity, no matter the circumstances. He truly embraced life and shared the joy of it with others. His positivity was contagious and his smile brightened every room. Those around him couldn’t help but to be inspired by his radiant love of life that lifted everyone he met. His legacy of faith, joy, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Bishop was preceded in death by his father, Bishop Montgomery, Sr.
