Bonnie Fay Washington Palmer was born on May 1, 1935 in Canton, Georgia to Lewis Washington and Minnie Lou Bostic Washington. She was the fifth of five children born.
Bonnie was proceeded in death by her mother Minnie Lou Bostic Washington, her sisters Julia May Bonds, Virginia Lee Kemp and Ruby May Toad) Morris. She leaves cherish behind her brother Lewis Washington (L.W.) three half siblings Jimmie, Austin and Maxine Washington. She also leaves to mourn her only child Nikki Latarsha Palmer, two grandsons Jelani and Matayo Palmer., one granddaughter-in-law Tyra Golson, three great- grandchildren, Kaileah (Lee-Lee), Matayo (M.J.) and Massiah (Siah) Palmer and a host of family and friends.
Bonnie attended Cherokee County Training School in Canton, Georgis graduating in 1953. She was an avid basketball player, who made the state championship along with her sisters. She came to Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 24 to make a life for herself. She was married in 1966. She worked at Sospen Pheise, later known as Hugo Boss, where she was an examiner for 30 plus years. She also worked for Gary and Beth Ann Milstien taking care of them. Bonnie loved and lived for her family all the days of her life. Couldn’t get her to do anything else. Her words “Uhuh Uhuh” and “Sit down have another drink” will forever be missed.
