Carla Hendricks passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, after a long battle with cancer, with family lovingly by her side.
Born December 27, 1978, to Valerie and Wesley Hendricks in Jamaica-Queens, New York. Carla was the middle of three children.
Carla was baptized for a second time in her adult years and became a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland Ohio.
Carla Graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1997. While a student there she thrived academically and athletically in Cross country and Track and field. After graduation Carla attended Ursuline College. After her time at Ursuline Carla attended Cosmetology School and began her 25 year career as a hair stylist and continued to style hair until the end of her days.
Carla enjoyed tending to her plants, traveling and spending time with her friends, family and new granddaughter. She was known for her affinity for cooking and keeping her recipes secret. Carla liked to DIY with many of her building and decorating projects being showcased in her home. Carla was a hard worker and generous to a fault. She was always willing to help others and touched many lives during her time here.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Norman and Mary Best and Charles and Elizabeth Hendricks and other family and friends.
Carla is survived by her husband Johnny Hendrix, her Sons Keith Hendricks and Damian Harris Jr. of Cleveland Ohio, her daughter Kayla Harris of Cleveland Ohio and Grand daughter Taliyah Allgood of Cleveland Ohio. Parents Wesley and Valerie Hendricks of Twinsburg Ohio. Siblings Tarra (Byron) Hopkins of Solon Ohio and Charles W. Hendricks of Euclid Ohio. Nieces and nephews Tyler Hopkins, Ashley Hopkins, Autumn Spencer-Hendricks and Aiden Mack. Her canine companion Polo. Carla also leaves to mourn a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and dear friends.
