Carol C. Pugh, 75 departed this life on March 7, 2024 at Justin T. Rogers Hospice Center. She was born in Dekalb, Mississippi to the late , Leo Scott and Maurine McCallum.
Carol moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she met and married her loving husband, Arrice Pugh Jr. . They recently celebrated 56 years of marriage in February. To this union 3 children were born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. She loved and cherished her 2 grandchildren .
Carol retired from National Artcraft. She had a joy of cooking for others, introducing them to new foods. She briefly worked at Liberty Ford in Maple Heights, running the Cafe. She was a faithful member at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where she served for many years in the gospel choir. She loved to sing God’s praises. She enjoyed traveling with the church. She sang with the Voices Of Free Spirit. Mama Pugh also had a passion for fishing. She would fish everyday if her health allowed her to. Mama Pugh had a kind, gentle spirit and flowed with love everywhere she went. Everyone referred to her as Mama Pugh.
Carol is survived by her husband Arrice Pugh Jr; son Arrice L. Pugh; daughters, Alissa Pugh and Cheryle Pugh; grandchildren; Taylor Lawson, Brandon Rice: Sisters; Teresa Johnson, Mary McCallum, Vera Johnson (deceased), Dezere Potts (deceased), Danette Scott (deceased), Sandra Jean Scott (Deceased)Diane Scott, Shirley Scott, Betty Sivanick, Hazel Scott; brothers: Perkins McCallum (deceased), Lonnie Mccallum (deceased); sister-in-law; Betty Tatum(Bobby) and a host of relatives and friends.
