Carolyn Sowell, 68, of East Cleveland, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2024 at Mount Mary Hospital in Garfield Heights, Ohio.
Carolyn was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 16th, 1956 – the 5th of 8 children, and only girl to William and June (Morton) Sowell. She graduated from Shaw High School in 1974.
After High School she worked for the county welfare office for several years until she took a job as a Dispatcher with the city of Cleveland Heights. Her hobbies included word games, watching soap operas, and watching reels on social media.
Carolyn never married but was the loving mother of two children – Quinton (France) and Tanika. Cherished Grandmother of Matthew and Gabriel Sowell; sister of William V. Sowell and Marvin (Julia) Sowell. She is preceded in death by parents June (Morton) Sowell and Father William Sowell; brothers Mauryce (Dinah) Sowell, Mark Sowell, Kevin (Donna) Sowell, and Dauryce Sowell.
She leaves behind to mourn her aunt, Ida Morton Richardson, a host a nieces, nephews, family members and loved ones.
