Carrie Bell Thomas went home to be with the Lord on Monday July 13, 2015.
Carrie Bell White was born in Montgomery, Alabama on September 28, 1923 to the late Hayward and Carrie White. She was the youngest of four children who proceeded her in death.
She received her education from Montgomery, Alabama private schools. In 1946 she married the late Fred Thomas Sr., and they moved to Cleveland, Ohio with their four children in 1950.
One of Carrie’s favorite joys was cooking. She loved to make her family’s favorite barbeque sauce at gatherings. Carrie was humorous, sassy, and always kept a positive attitude, which had a great impact on everyone that encountered her.
Carrie was the mother of six children: Rose Marie, Fred Jr., (Freddie) (deceased), Bernard (deceased) Andrew (Andy), Gloria and Donald.
She leaves behind eight grandchildren who called her “Ma”, fourteen great grandchildren who call her “Grannie”. Carrie also leaves a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and other family members and friends who celebrates her life.
In each life a little rain must fall,
When it’s our time, The Lord will call.
There’s no guarantee of the time or the hour,
It’s not our choice, we don’t have the power.
In the meantime, be the best we can be,
To live, to love, to laugh and be happy.
No matter what, there is no need for sorrow,
Live for today and Pray for tomorrow.
