Charles Anthony (Tony) Chapmon II was born to the late Charles Anthony Chapmon Sr and Carol Anne Hale on January 9th, 1975. He attended Lafayette Elementary, Elliot Middle School, and finally Jane Adams High School where he was crowned prom king. As a teenager, he could always be found tinkering in the garage with “Grandpa Pete.” Upon completing high school, he moved on to work for Chapmon’s Auto Parts Store. Owned by his other grandfather, entrepreneur, Henry Louis Chapmon Sr. He moved on to become an entrepreneur himself owning various businesses, known as a jack of all trades.
He met the love of his life, Brandy, on 146th Street in ‘95. They have been together ever since, married in May 2003. Together, they had four beautiful children: Bre’Asja Antonette, Charlee Le’Shay, Taylor Le’Nise, and Henry Louis Chapmon II.
He is further survived by his sister Carolynn (Thomas), brother Christopher (Natasha), and bonus brother Richard “Ricky” (Nakia). Nieces and nephews Cheyenne (June), Isaiah, Navaeh, Zion, and Kaitlynn. Bonus nieces and nephews “Lil Rick” (Nita), DJ, Me’Khel, and Kali. Great nephews, Michael and Dallas. Mother-in-Law Linda Lee Reynolds-Cleveland and one of his closest Uncles Andre “Tilla” (Dee Dee).
He will always be remembered for his love of fishing and cooking, his vast collection of old-school cars, and his love of travelling during yearly family vacations. He would never be caught without a Modelo in his right hand. Most of all, he will be remembered for his love of driving. As long as he had his music bumping, he could drive anywhere. He never forgot to leave his mark by doing his signature burnouts.
To know Tony is to Love Tony. He was known for giving out forehead kisses, whether you wanted one or not. He was an affectionate, loving man, but was also a role model and mentor to many. He always gave good advice; he could never be wrong.
On June 23rd, 2024, he was called home. He leaves behind his cherished family including a host of uncles, aunties, cousins, and friends.
