Charnae was the love of my Mother's life... Charnae was like a daughter to me, a niece , she fulfilled a void in my Mother's life ..Charnae was very funny and comedic ..My Mother name my spaghetti after Charnae because they would devour the pot.. Charnae was a beautiful soul and gave my Mother a lot to live for...and I will forever love Charnae for being in my Moms life...now I will go and weep..knowing Charnae is with Grace

Dr. Mark Merrick - UToledo left a message on January 15, 2022:
We are grieving for your loss. I am the Dean of College of Health and Human Services at UToledo where Charnae was a Social Work student and was on the Dean's list for her strong academic performance. Charnae's loss breaks all of our hearts. It breaks my heart that I will not be able hand Charnae her diploma. I had arranged to travel to attend the visitation on Sunday, but I have come down with a bad cough this morning. Out of caution, I will not be able to attend. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies for your family.

Sending all my love and condolences to the family, especially Charmane. You both were like family to me from the day I met Charnae in the fifth grade, she became a sister to me. Charnae embodied what it meant to be a true friend. I feel so blessed to have known such a beautiful, kind and loving soul like Charnae. I will forever cherish the endless memories we’ve made together. I miss you dearly❤️

My deepest condolences to the entire family. Charnae was one of my favorite students in my African-American history class at Solon High School. She and her close friend Sharnae were always so pleasant and positive in class and would often stop by and say hello after the class ended which I greatly appreciated. She was a young person who was truly respectful and a joy to teach. I am so sorry to hear this news. I am continue to pray for the entire family. May her positive spirit live on in all the lives she touched.

I would like to send my condolences and prayers to Charmane. I can’t imagine what you’re going through. I will say that you raised a beautiful young woman w/a genuine, pure, innocent spirit. I’m so blessed that she was able to be a part of our family. She was beautiful inside and out. I always made sure I told her that. She had the most contagious laugh and smile. I enjoyed having conversations with her, I was so happy I was able to see her multiple times before you all moved. We would talk and catch up. I will always remember her sweet, innocent spirit! God has a true Angel. May her spirit live on forever. Fly High sweetie! ???
