Chester Mars Forrest, Age 85, passed away on September 14, 2024. Chester Mars Forrest was born July 28,1939 in Leevale ,west Virginia to Mosses Howard Forrest Sr. and Ruth Alice Smith Forrest. He was their seventh child and last-born son.

Chester graduated from Charleston high School in in 1957 and proceeded to enter the workforce. he held several jobs during his lifetime. He worked at medical hospital collecting baby feces to be tested primarily for polio. he also held a part-time job working at addressograph and finally his career job which he held for 40 years was at the United States postal service from which he retired with distinguished service in August 2000.

On June 24,1961 Chester Married his life-long mate of 63 years, Laura Jean Marshall. Their union produced three children, Teresa, Anita, Ronald.

Chester was very outgoing and well liked. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football and track and field. In his early years, he became a professional Bowler and an avid fisher. However, fishing would be his passion from his youth until his older years when he could no longer enjoy his hobbies because of declining health

Chester is survived by his wife, Laura Jean Forrest: Three Children Tersa Michelle Gatson (Carl), Anita Gail Johnson (Greg) and Ronald Lenard Forrest. Six Grandchildren; Christopher Forrest, Quishawn Macias (Juan), Donald Forrest, Kristina Forrest, Carla Gatson, and Tyreis Gatson. Nine great grandchildren; his sister Ruth Elaine, Uncle Slyvester L.Smith , And brother-in-law Arlandas “Lannie” McElvaine and a host of nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends who cherished him dearly.

Chester is proceeded in death by his parent5s Moses and Ruth Forrest Sr; Brothers Moses Forrest jr. and Corliss Forrest; sisters Aurelia White Braxton and Levonia Jones and special Brother Clarence Hogan

Chester Earthly death does not end his story but begin a new chapter in his eternal.
