Christopher Andre Turner was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 21, 1972. Christopher was born to Johnny and Wilma Turner, while his father precedes him in death. Christopher was known as “CT,” and to others as “Black ass Chris,” “DJ Cave Man tha Monsta,” and “Commander and Chief.” Chris attended Aviation High School, John F. Kennedy High School, as well as John Marshall High School. Alongside his father, Chris began his career in construction at the age of 18. After servicing 35 years to Local 310, he retired in 2025. While still committed to Local 310, he obtained his Commercial Driver’s License. In Chris’s spare time, he did what he loved to do the most, which was DJ’ing—hence the name DJ Cave Man tha Monsta, and he was awesome at it!
Christopher met the love of his life in April of 1996, LeNae Fann. He joined Grace and True Love Baptist Church and was baptized April 1, 2007, accepting Jesus Christ into his life. After spending 28 years together, they got married on June 24, 2024. Chris and LeNae loved to travel, eat, dance, and laugh together, and Chris was always the one who would be the life of the party, it didn’t even matter whose party it was. The one thing everyone knew about Chris is he was a real person and famous for his slogans. To know Chris is to love Chris. And if you knew him, he would call everyone his “niece” or “nephew.” Chris also had a lot of energy and a big mouth. His presence was always known; you could either love it or leave it. He was a STRAIGHT UP, NO CHASER KIND OF GUY!
With slogans like “The strong survive” and “Stand for something or you’ll fall for anything,” my husband was an amazing man that will never be duplicated, with action or word. Everyone knew where he was from because he told you and he was proud of it: 131st in front of Open Pantry, where the work was put in… Garfield.
Chris leaves behind to mourn his loving wife, LeNae; son, Jaylen; brother, Thomas; sister, Tuesday; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
