Claudia Jones, born on May 6, 1926 in Roanoke Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2023. Claudia was a resident of Akron, Ohio since 1963.

Claudia Jones belonged to the Eastern Star where she served on Johnson Beauty Chapter, Queen of the south, Amaranth, Rahab Grand Court (Heroines of Jericho), Lady Knight of Templar, Oasis Grand Court (Daughters of Sphinx), Sarai Royal Ladies Palace 33 Degree, and eventually becoming a member of Ester Chapter No. 11, serving as secretary for Emily Supreme Grand Chapter (State of Ohio), Supreme Grand Office OES, Supreme Grand Royal Queen Sheba of the Royal Ladies 33°. Just to name a few of her various degrees. But Claudia’s pride and joy was spending time with family.

Claudia Jones was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Pearl Allen; brothers Robert, Charles, Pierce, and Frank Allen; Sisters Annie, Pearl, and Emma Robertson; children Robert Jones, Vivian Jones (Tommy Jones), and Michael Jones.

Claudia is survived by her children, Barbara Williams and Stanley Jones (Bobbi Jones); special daughters Jeri Jones Brown and Jeanie Jones; grandchildren Carlos Jones, George Jones, Jr. (Yolanda Jones), Juanekee Williams, Crystal Williams, Omari Jones, Johari Jones, Aisiah Williams, and Ashley Jones; great grandchildren Nicholas Williams, Nija Williams, Keire Jones, Minya Roper, Brandon Housey, and Endya Riley; great great grandchildren Nicholas Burton Williams, Shiloh Williams, and Zayire Williams; and a host of family and friends.
