Clem Robinson was born on January 4, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Clem and Anna Robinson.
He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy where he was a star basketball player. He also received a
scholarship to play basketball at Mississippi Valley State University. Clem was a faithful
member of the Church of the Living God under the leadership of Pastor Mareeta D. Fowler until
his health began to deteriorate.
Clem worked for the City of Cleveland Water Department for 38 years. He started as a Water
Serviceman Aide and ended up as Superintendent. That’s where he met his wife, Dianne
Williams. They married on July 20, 1974, and to this union was born 2 sons.
Clem loved sports. He coached little league baseball, little league basketball, little league flag
football. He was coach and player for an old timer’s baseball team and an old timer’s basketball
team. He also loved listening to gospel music. Lee Williams and Rance Allen were his favorite
singers.
With his wife, sons, 3 of his grandkids, a daughter-in-law, and a brother-in-law at his bedside, on
September 14, 2023, Clem departed this life.
Clem was preceded in death by his parents Clem and Anna Robinson; brother Peter Williams,
and sister Lucinda Robinson.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of years, Dianne Robinson, sons, Clement
(Patricia) Robinson; and Quentin (Ashley) Robinson; three grandsons, Quentin, Jr. Clement,
Jr., and Xavion Robinson; and three granddaughters, Giavanna, Gabriella, and Journee
Robinson. Sister Barbara Robinson of Chicago, III., Brother Gregory Williams of Florida; two
brother-in-law’s, Benaiah Williams (Missouri) Shemaiah Williams of Warrensville. and a host of
nieces and nephews.
