Clifford Glenn Coster Sr. was born July 9, 1969, in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Sharon Coster and Clifford Belvin Sr. Clifford grew up in Cleveland and attended the Cleveland Schools and graduated from the Cleveland School of The Arts in 1987. Clifford took a gap year and decided to join the United States Marine Corp, in which he got a chance to travel the world to places like Japan and Europe and lots of states within the United States.
Clifford was affectionately known as “Cliff” or “King Coz” by all who knew him. Cliff was always the life of the party with his corny jokes and long drawn-out storytelling and funny sense of humor.
Cliff was a truck driver for many years and recently started his own business, Integrated Coster Unlimited LLC with his son Clifford Jr. Cliff was the chef for all the cookouts, cooking his award winning ribs. He will be greatly missed on holidays for hosting at the Coster’s home. Cliff was a “Jack of All Trades” with some of his favorites being building and fixing things, cooking, cutting hair, playing cards, fishing, and drawing, the last of which being his reason for attending The School of The Arts.
Cliff loved doing magic tricks for all the young kids. Overall, his attentiveness and nurturing soul drew all the young people to him. Cliff knew his wife for most of his childhood being that her brother was his best friend. Cliff had a crush on her for most of his boyhood years. She wouldn’t give him a chance until one day he put that whip appeal on her and here we are, 40 years of knowing her. They’ve been married for decades. What a love story!
Cliff’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone he encountered, and his passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew him and loved him. Cliff’s memory will remain in the hearts of his family and all those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing him.
Clifford was preceded in death by his grandmothers Mary Francis Blevins & Julia Coster, grandfathers Cleothus Blevins & Marvin Burgess, sister Latrice Blevins, sister-in-laws Stella Freeman & Marion Cook, and brother-in-laws Clarence Freeman & Maurice Cook, Maurice also being his best friend.
Clifford leaves to mourn his parents Sharon Coster & Clifford Belvins Sr. (Diana), wife Idella Coster, two sons Eric BarClay (Nell) & Clifford Coster Jr. (Lisa), four grandchildren; Josh, Eris, Clifford III, & Eric Jr., godchildren Kenneth Williams Jr. & Briana Cook, his favorite niece & nephew Kenyautta Cook & Clarence Cook, his favorite cousins Yolonda & Bernard Belvins, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
