Celebrating the life of Clyde Allen Mason, who ascended to Heaven on November 20, 2024.
Born September 24, 1956, in St. Frances, Arkansas. He attended Sunbeam School in Cleveland, Ohio.
Clyde was the child of Alfred Mason and Josephine Dean. With a heart full of love, Clyde cherished his role as a brother to his 16 sisters and brothers. Clyde was the father of Britni Monet, grandfather to Myona, Briona, Lyona, and Duane Jr., and a favorite uncle to Anthony and Leroy in addition to many other nephews, nieces, greats, and great-great nieces, nephews, and cousins fostering many strong connections, family traditions, and memories to remember.
Clyde’s desire for this gathering would have been for it to be a joyous celebration of life and not mourning of his absence.
Despite being born with cerebral palsy,
Clyde’s life was an inspiration to all who knew him. His life was an extraordinary tapestry woven from excitement, romance, and adventure.
Reflecting the passion of many, Clyde approached each experience with unbridled zeal. His exploits included voyages to Disney World, Cedar Point, acquiring an autograph by Aaliyah, also enjoyed movies and sports.
Clyde’s life and the individuals he encountered will always retain a unique significance, yielding a lasting heritage of humor and fellowship.
Clyde embodied the true meaning of community, he selflessly contributed his work to Cadillac Records of Cleveland retiring with a company he deeply cherished, creating lasting memories and connections.
