Cynthia Rose (McCoy) Grant was the daughter of the late Hattie (McCoy) McNeal and Lannie McCoy.  She received an Associate Degree from Kent State Trumbull Campus in 1977.  She returned to school in 2000, graduating with a Bachelor degree.

Cynthia began her work career in 1977 for the Juvenile Court System in Warren, Ohio.  She transferred to Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court in 1983 and retired in 2007.  Cynthia was a substitute teacher for the North Royalton School District from 2007 to 2017.

Cynthia accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age.  She enjoyed serving as an usher at her church, walking her dog (Stella), water aerobics, line dancing, attending her book club meetings and traveling.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Lannie S. McCoy.  She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters (Joyce Owens and Lisa McCoy), a son (Marcus L. McCoy Sr), four grandchildren (Marcus Jr, Elijah, Isaiah and Asia) and many relatives and friends.
