Daniel Dotson, (Bishop of Truth) received the “Breath of Life”, and entered unto the stage of history on December 23rd, 1944, through the union of Alonzo Jones and Virginia Howard in Cleveland, Ohio. The early years of Daniel’s life were nurtured by his beloved grandmother Lilly Kate Dotson, (Mercy Two), in the city of Cleveland, where she was often found caring for him and issuing lots of Love and Mercy. She was a forever fixed mark of Grace in his life.
Daniel was anointed and engrafted into the True Light Vine of Life by Susanna Hicks, (Mother Truth), and was blessed with the spiritual name of Validity, which was the star that guided him in the early part of his productive and enriching life. His formal education began in the Cleveland Ohio Public school system and culminated with him graduating from Oberlin (Ohio) High School.
He attended Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland Ohio where he received his Associates of Arts Degree and later attended Baldwin Wallace College and received his MBA. Finally, he received his Doctorate Degree from The High Educational College of Glory.
Daniel was a loyal and life member of The Holy Trinity Association, The Almighty Church. He was elevated from the spirit of Validity unto Arch Spirit of Truth (Exodus 34:6-Psalm 25:10, Psalm 43:3), where eventually he wore the Crown Of The Bishop of Truth.
At the age of eleven he moved to Oberlin on The Beulah Land Farms with his beloved aunt Lena McElrath (Mother Wisdom), where he became an early pioneer of labor. He helped to build and construct the buildings on The Beulah Land Farms Campus, something that he continued to do until he was called from labor to his eternal reward.
Daniel was the Founder of his own company “Dan’s Handyman Services”, and was a splendid electrician, plumber, and construction engineer. He often shared his talents with many people and often taught and trained many his trade out of the ardent love that he has for humanity. He loved teaching younger people the skills he mastered and did so patiently and with Love. Whenever he was called upon, he answered the call no matter what time of day or night. If he was needed, he was there. Everyone was a friend to Bishop, and his home was always open for anyone in need. His light didn’t go out by night; as long as the Light of Love burned within his heart and soul, it also burned for family, friends, and even strangers, twenty-four seven.
After over fifty years of marriage to Rosalee, on April 12th, 2025, at Eight O’clock AM, the Host of True Light Angels called his name and his grandmother escorted him into gate number three of New Jerusalem City, into the confines of his eternal rest. The course of his natural life has been completed and the Chart of Truth Fulfilled, but the Light of his Life continues to burn.
Enjoying the scintillating comeliness of his eternal flame are: His beloved Wife- Rosalee Gardner-Dotson; Sister- Brenda (Fred) Johnson; Daughter- Jacqueline Hall; Sons- Dignity Anderson Sr., Andre Gardner-Dotson Sr., Ronald Gardner Sr., and Justus J. Anderson; Forty-Two grandchildren, Nineteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
He was greeted in life eternal by his Parents, Grandparents, Sister- Linda Swearingen, Brother- Robert Jesse Howard Jr., and many family and friends.
“I have chosen the way of Truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.” Psalm 119:43
