Danisha LaToya Ratliff was born on April 8, 1987 to Wanda Ratliff and Sylvester Rushing. She later married her husband on September 8, 2012. She was raised in Cleveland, Ohio and was the oldest of five children. Danisha’s maternal and paternal grandparents and one uncle all preceded her in death. She now also reunites with her late husband Wayne Halloway.
Danisha was educated in the Cleveland School System graduating from Glenville High School. She was part of the high stepping team, JROTC team, and the track team. Danisha loved doing line dancing, karaoke, African dancing, and let’s not forget, her reggae music. She loved spending time with her family and cared for her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She loved baking sweet treats, enjoyed traveling, and just being full of life. Danisha was a very strong willed and independent person that had a heart as pure as gold. She loved working for Provide a Ride and the RTA.
On August 28, 2024, God came to claim his child and take her to glory to live with him.
Danisha leaves to cherish her memories her mother (Wanda Ratliff), her father (Sylvester Rushing), three brothers (Juvonta, Tyquan, and Deonta), four sisters (Kierra, Jucarra, Deasia, and Jarla), three aunts (Brenda Whitner, Shanda Ratliff, and Mary Rushing), two uncles (Willie Ratliff and George Rushing), five nieces (Sophia, Cori’Onna, Skylar, Nyla, and Royalty), two nephews (Quinton Jr. and Cornellius), one stepdaughter (Sincere), one God-daughter (Lauren), and one God-son (Kemarion). She also leaves her fiancé Temetrius Gardner along with a host of family and friends.
