Today, our hearts are broken as we all mourn the loss of our beloved Dasha Stevens. Born Dasha Monique Jacobs, she entered this world on January 29, 1995, to parents Eric Jacobs and Michelle Woodall, both of Akron, Ohio. Dasha was later adopted by James and Dorthy Stevens.
Dasha was raised in Cambridge, Ohio, but later moved back to Akron, Ohio. She attended Cambridge City Schools.
Dasha’s children were her world. She loved them girls with every bone in her body. She definitely was a “wild child” but she was outgoing, strong willed, and stubborn at times. Her heart was joyous, and she has a wonderful sense of humor. She will be forever remembered and cherished for who she was as a person and the memories she made with family and friends.
Dasha departed her earthly life on July 7, 2023, at the age of 28.
Dasha was preceded in death by adopted father, James Stevens; brother Deaire Pittman; grandparents Lawrence and Fannie Jacobs; aunts Lisa and Richelle Woodall; uncle Reggie Woodall; nephew Noah Jacobs; and cousins Deonta and Jermaine Woodall.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Shamarie Brown and Sapfire Jacobs; parents Eric Jacobs and Michelle Woodall; adoptive mother Dorthy Stevens; brothers twin Derrick Stevens (Jacobs), Geric Ellis, Eric Jacobs, Victor Barnes, Keyontay Jacobs (South Carolina), Joe Toledo (Cambridge), and James Steven, Jr. (Cambridge); sisters Ariz Woodall, Taija Hubbard, Erica Ellis, Renisha Atkins, Lula Gordon, Eriea Jacobs, Daviona Davis, Davasia Davis, Dasia Davis, Victoria Noftsger (Cambridge), Janice Jones (Cambridge), Tracey Stevens (Cambridge), and Dee Stevens (Zanesville); and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
