David Bailey was born on August 23, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio. As the second eldest child, he naturally took on the role of shepherding his siblings – guiding, protecting, and, at times getting into harmless mischief along the way.
In adolescence, David met Trina, the woman who would become his wife, and he was sure immediately that she was the one. He would affectionately share that he watched her from his window, much like the lyrics of The Temptations’ “Just My Imagination,” envisioning the life he hoped to build with her.
David later served honorably in the United States Army, and after completing his service, returned home to focus on building his family and his future. He went on to cultivate a longstanding career in the specialty metals industry, known for his strong work ethic and reliability.
Outside of work, his greatest joys were simple and sacred: family, evangelism, and fellowship. He was known for hosting cookouts that felt less like backyard gatherings and more like curated events – complete with delicious food, balloon arrangements, classic oldies, games, and, above all, laughter and love.
David will be remembered for his charisma, wit, sense of humor, and his unwavering devotion to Christ. He lived with a passion for sharing the Gospel and spreading hope to those around him. His life reflected faith in action – generous, joyful, and rooted in love.He departed to be with the Lord on October 26, 2025.
He is survived by his wife, Trina Bailey, daughters Raven Rodriguez and Chenelle Brown and is preceded in death by his son, Rashaun Bailey. He also leaves behind eight siblings, along with a host of extended family members and loved ones who will carry his memory forward.
Psalm 23:6
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
