Debra “Debbie” Bethea Stanley, age 63, passed away peacefully the morning of April 24, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on December 19, 1959, in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret R Bethea. She graduated from Glenville High School in 1977 and then studied business at Dyke College. She began her career at Cleveland Trust Bank, later known as KeyBank, in 1979 and went on to become a Sr Lead Investigation Specialist. She retired after 43 years of service.

As a child, Debbie attended True Vine Baptist Church. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was baptized at the age of 8. She visited various churches and found comfort at New Life Christian Church International, where she attended church for several years.

In 1981, Debbie met Raymond Derek Stanley. They married in 1991. To this union, one child was born, Raymond William Stanley. Debbie also reared and raised two bonus children, Marticia N Stanley and Joseph D Stanley. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, family member and friend. Her family was the center of her world. She loved spending time with her loved ones, traveling, shopping, and sharing stories and laughter.

In her free time, she enjoyed cooking delicious meals, which brought her much joy and fulfillment. She was often asked to prepare her signature lasagna, seven-layer salad, or dressing.

After a brief illness, Debbie peacefully left this world to be with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. She was proceeded in death by her father, William Bethea Sr, mother, Margaret R Bethea, sister, Adrian Russell, and nephew, Altonio McCants.

Debbie will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will always remember her as a kind, loving, and generous person. She leaves to cherish fond memories with her husband, Raymond Derek Stanley; her children, Marticia N Stanley, Joseph D Stanley (Mario), and Raymond William Stanley (Anthony); her grandchildren, Lyndon N Hamilton and La’Nia S Hamilton; her siblings, Gregory Howell, William Bethea Jr (Deborah), Wilma Bethea, Margaret Bethea, and Pamela Bethea (Ernest); her siblings-in-law, Cheryl Booker, Anthony Stanley, Regina Crome (Ted), Crystal Stanley (Larry); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
