Dionte Duwaun Hawthorne Jr., was born on February 19, 2001, to Latasha Kinney and Dionte Duwaun Hawthorne Sr. He was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend whose presence brought warmth, protection, and joy to all who knew him. He was a proud graduate of Ginn Academy, Class of 2020, and later worked in shipping and receiving at Eco Pro Solutions, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
Dionte had a goofy, fun-loving spirit that could turn even the heaviest moments into laughter. His jokes, playful personality—especially with his sister Tayviauna—and contagious laugh brought joy to everyone around him. He was known for showing up right when the food was ready and “Debo-ing” his way to the front with a smile, a moment that never failed to make everyone laugh. Dionte loved being around his family, he enjoyed video games, and cherished the time spent with his father attending Cleveland Browns games and sports betting. He also had a sharp sense of style and always took pride in smelling good and being well-groomed, showing that he loved looking as good as he made everyone feel. His sense of humor, love for family, and impeccable style will forever echo in our memories.
Above all else, Dionte leaves to cherish his loving memory his children: Samir, De’Onnie, My’loure, Skylar, and Chloe Hawthorne. They were his greatest pride and joy, and he was their biggest aggravator, and the love they shared was unwavering.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold him close in their hearts. He is survived by his parents, Latasha Kinney, and Dionte Duwaun Hawthorne Sr.; his grandparents, Denise Kinney (Dave), Bobby Williams (Patricia), and Bessie Vereen (Andre), (Frank); and his siblings, Tayviauna, Tayvaun, Taylor, Taya, and Javion, who meant the world to him. He is also lovingly remembered by his uncle’s Carlos Sr., Greg, Frank Jr., Fred, Antonio, Michael (Kimberly), and Bobby Jr.; his aunts LaTosha, DaVida (Colan), Shonta, and Shondria; his great-aunts and great-uncles; and a host of extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by his love and spirit.
