Donald Turner was born to the late Elise Armstrong on January 2, 1940, in Clarksville, Tennessee. Donald accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at a very young age. He attended Rawling Jr. High School, Donald was an outstanding athlete, baseball being his best sport. Later, after High School he worked as a construction worker for many years. Eventually, he discovered his passion for landscaping, which he pursued until his illness. Donald truly enjoyed landscaping and served as his family’s personal landscaper, keeping their yards beautifully manicured on a weekly basis.
Donald departed this life on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Ames Family Hospice House. He leaves behind cherished memories with his sister Donna Oden, Charlotte (Alonzo Jr) Norman, and cousins Lisa, James, and Sherrie.
Donald was preceded in death by his mother, his longtime companion Carole, his siblings Sarah and Tommy, his aunts Eva and Polly, a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and his close friend Peppy, who was always there for him regardless of the situation.
