Dora Ella Greene was born on February 6, 1934, to James and RinnieMae Williams in Wynne, Arkansas.
Dora moved to Akron, Ohio as a young girl to the care of her older sister, Leether Martin-Parker. Dora attended elementary school in Akron and graduated from East High School in 1952. After graduation, she attended nursing school and graduated with her nursing assistant’s certification. Not long after, Dora worked at the Akron Women’s City Club where she met her lifelong love, Milton Greene Jr., and married on January 20, 1957.
In 1960, Dora joined the Church of God Militant Pillar and Ground of the Truth, where she continued to service until her health challenged her. Dora was also PTA President at her children’s school and fostered several children of whom she loved and cared for. Dora loved God, her husband, children, and family.
Dora transitioned from this life to Glory on May 5, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milton Greene Jr.; parents, James and RinnieMae Williams, and all but one sibling.
Left to cherish her memory, her four children, Teressa, Diana (DeeDee), Milton III, and Leether Greene; nine grandchildren, Kiya, Dewahn (Patricia), Quiana, Darice, Joy(William), Reuben, Markeeta, Jvohnny, and Harmony; special granddaughter/niece, Nadijah; eighteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; one sister, Christina (Willie) Jones; brother/nephew Archie (Sara) Parker; godson, Thomas Dickens; foster children, Toni, Bryan and Celina; as well as a host of other relatives, family members and friends.
