Doreatha, lovingly known as Dolly, was born on January 24, 1941, in Cleveland, OH, to Josephine and Wilbur Marshall (both of whom preceded her in death). Dolly attended East Tech High School and furthered her education at various technical schools, where she became proficient in typing and shorthand. Throughout her career, she held numerous administrative roles, ultimately retiring from Electro General Plastics in 1989 after many years of dedicated service.
Dolly married Charles Jones Jr.in 1973 and together they raised five children: Robin, Rodney, Rodette, Rhonda, and Carla. In 1991, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior under the leadership of the late Reverend Olie Williams and Lady Williams at Leviticus Baptist Church in Cleveland, OH, where she also served as Secretary.
A passionate traveler, Dolly decided to start her own travel agency, Leisure Tyme Travel, after retiring. She gathered friends and family for trips to destinations such as New York, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Amish Country, Chicago, Pennsylvania, Columbus, and various shopping outlets. Dolly also coordinated trips to Las Vegas and the Bahamas, among other destinations.
Dolly leaves behind her beloved husband, Charles, and five children, along with her cherished son-in-law, Linn Nichols (Carla). She is also survived by five grandchildren: Reginald, Ryan, Saxx, Chaz, and Carlin; four great-grandchildren: Ariyah, Aeryn, Ayden, and one soon-to-be-born baby girl. Additionally, she leaves behind five nephews: Roger, Randy (deceased), Darren and Jeffrey Marshall, Brent Knowlton, and one niece Kendra Willis. Dolly is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Lily, Hester, and Marie, as well as one brother-in-law, Raymond. She will also be greatly missed by a host of family members and lifelong friends, including Marilyn Henry and Yvonne Whitt, to name just a few.
