Dorinda J. Sutton (Edwards) was born June 21, 1974, to Patricia E. Sutton and Robert L. Sutton in Cleveland, Ohio. Dorinda graduated from Glenville High School in 1992.
Dorinda was employed at Viaquest and loved her job where she took great care of individuals that were diagnosed with Developmental Disabilities. She was very well known and loved by all. She took them on outings and out to eat, as well as taught some of them certain things that they needed to achieve to become better in life. She even was like a mother or sister figure to most and wanted nothing but the best for them.
Dorinda departed her life April 25, 2022. Her loving husband Jammot L. Edwards, father Robert L. Sutton, grandparents Mary Louise, Rosa Mae and Joe Sutton Sr., brother Larry Sutton, Aunts and Uncles Betty Jean, Dorothy Jean, Joe Sutton Jr., Joseph Sutton, niece Ya’Shaida Moore, and great- nephew Damere Johnson preceded her in death.
Dorinda was baptized at an early age. She loved her life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed getting her nails done and spending time with her family and friends. She was very excited when she found out that she was going to be a grandmother and let everyone know Sekani is her Fly Guy. She also enjoyed going to the casino and occasionally drinking her favorite tequila Casamigos which is why she’s a Casamigos girl.
She met Jammot in 2002, and they went on to marry in 2018; they lived together in Akron, Ohio, where they raised their two children. They traveled to different states and enjoyed the time they shared. One year, they celebrated their anniversary by taking a trip to Niagara Falls, and dining in at Texas de Brazil. Every year at least once a year, they traveled to Mississippi to visit her husband’s mother and to visit his father’s grave site. June 23, 2022 would’ve been their 20th anniversary.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her devoted mother Patricia Sutton, her mother-in-law Sandra Faye-Wash; her beloved children Doriante (Smurf), Dominique, Max, and her soon to be grandson Sekani; her sisters Katrina (Antoine), Alta; her brother Steven; brothers and sisters-in-laws Denna (Larry) Moore, Tyrone (Vanessa) Edwards, Christopher (Latasha) Edwards, Jerome (Alisa) Edwards, Kendrick Lang, and Deshandrick (Tara) Edwards. Uncles and Aunts Robert (Bridgetta) McCloud, Michael (Cecilia) McCloud, Kenneth (Lorana) Barnett, Anna Mae Sutton, Jessie Avery, Carrie Mae (Willie) Whitley, Rosa Lee, Clara (Felix) Blackmon, James (Deborah) Sutton, Aggie Lee (Evelyn) Sutton, Mary (Charles) Helton, Thelma (Robert) Harrison, and Ruby Lee-Winston and a very large host of nieces and nephews and friends.
