Dorothy A. Blair began her legacy on November 9, 1936. She was born and raised in Cleveland, OH to the late Slyvester and Bertha Williams. She was one of seven children.
Dorothy attended Glenville High School. Later, she met Charles Blair (deceased). Dorothy and Charles married and became one on June 6, 1958. To this union ten children were born: George (deceased), Ruth Ann, Janet, Nathaniel, Bertha, Yvette (deceased), Ann, Charles Jr., Darnell and Dorothea (Lorenzo).
Dorothy did private duty work for over 20 years. After retiring, she loved to be home watching her daily tv shows, knitting, sewing, and enjoying everyone’s company. She loved going out and having a good time. One of her favorite places was bingo, which she would go to often with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy was a great cook from the foods to the desserts. She would prepare Sunday dinner for everyone to eat and enjoy. Dorothy was truly loved by her family and friends. She will always be remembered and dearly missed by everyone.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Slyvester and Bertha Williams, husband, Charles Blair, son, George Core; daughter, Yvette Blair; sisters, Maddie Smith, Maurie Williams, and Thelma Williams; brother, Slyvester Williams.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory: eight children, three brothers: Earl Williams, Bobby Williams and Lucious Williams; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
