Edward Lee Kirtz Jr., was born on June 13, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward Lee Kirtz Sr. and Jean Kirtz (Isaac) who preceded him in death. Edward affectionately known as( “Ed” and “Teddy”), attended the Cleveland Public Schools. After High School he joined the United States Military. After serving a short time in the Military, Edward returned to the Cleveland area and began   working numerous jobs.

                 Edward worked for the Ohio Boy’s Town, The Phyllis Wheatley Association, and the Associated Estates. On June 11, 1998 Edward  married the love of his life, Doretha Kirtz (Long). Edward possessed a true passion for fishing. Above everything else, his dominating passion was for his grandchildren.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Edward gave his life to God at an early age, Later in life he joined The Church of God in Christ. Edward Transitioned from earth to glory  on May 6, 2022 after a gradual decline in health.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Jean Kirtz, Grandparents-Hardy and Louise Kirtz, and William (Willie) Sr. and Beatrice Isaac. Uncles Donald, William Jr, Clarence, Konis, and George.  Aunts Ruby, Geraldine, Clarice, and Karen.

Edward Leaves in mourning his loving wife, Doretha,  Stepmother Jessica (Tiny). Children Demetrius, Tonia, Kimberly, Edward, Frederick, Jean, Kiara, Ericka, Kendriea, and Christopher. Extended children; Tabitha, Aaron, Amy, Crystal (preceded him in death), and Ricky. Brother; Frederick Isaac, Sisters Tangy Kirtz and Teresa     Rucker. Stepsisters; Kiwana, Rayshawnda and Shaylawnda. 25 grandchildren, 12    great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Uncles; Frank Sr. (Gloria), and Timothy (Shonda). Aunts Barbara , Nafisa and Joann. Best friends  Melvin (Muggy), Charles (Che Che) and Raymond (Champ). Along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
