Ernestine Rubynell Hampton “Tina” went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2024. Tina was born on July 24, 1941, to Earnece and Geraldine McKinney in Cleveland, Ohio (parents deceased). Tina is survived by Janetta Smith (Larry deceased), Joanetta Davis (Berry), and Lester Bryant (Marie). Beloved brothers who preceded Tina in death were Lovell, Delanya, and Lamar McKinney. Also, who preceded Tina in death was her wonderful and loving son Nathaniel Darnell McKinney. Tina was a doting grandmother over her son’s two children, Jasmine McKinney and Joshua Farr, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Tina retired from General Motors in 2003, after working 37 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, interior decorating, shopping, and taking photos of friends and family. In addition, Tina especially enjoyed traveling locally and abroad. Everyone who knew Tina understood she was going to be dressed to the nines from head to toe no matter where she went. Her love for cooking brought everyone together for family time. She liked to gamble and was funny enough to give stand-up comedians a run for their money. Tina loved to dance and a slice of Hough Bakery cake (Archie’s Bakery) would make her day brighter.
Last but not least, Tina loved the Lord. Olivet Baptist Church was her spiritual home. However, she frequented Everlasting Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Chappell Jr. God bless the time Tina had on this earth to enrich family and friends loves. “Heaven has another angel.”
