Eunice Z. Gaddis (Nobie) was born on January 20, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio. To the late Eunice L and Julius Gaddis, Sr. She was the fourth of five children. Eunice was affectionately known as “Nobie”. Eunice accepted Christ as her personal savior at a young age, and ensured her children were raised to know the Lord as well.
Eunice attended John Adams high school in Cleveland, Ohio. Education was a priority in her life, as she pursued and completed both her Associate and Bachelors degrees in Early Childhood Education from Cuyahoga Community College and Ursuline College in Cleveland, Ohio.
Eunice furthered her Christian education by attending Maranatha Baptist University and Moody Bible Institute. Eunice enjoyed a fulfilling career in Early Childhood Development as a teacher/administrator for over 50 years. Eunice was a faithful servant of New Life Church of Lakewood, Ohio under the pastorate of Reverend Bob Kistemaker where she continued to serve in the children’s ministries.
Anyone who knows Eunice, will quickly realize how important her relationship was with the Lord. As her relationship with the Lord grew, so did her commitment to answering the call of God on her life to serve in youth/children’s ministries for more than 40 years. Eunice dedicated her life’s purpose by serving God, telling others about Jesus Christ and spreading the Fruit of the Holy Spirit with her life to all who crossed her path.
At a young age Eunice had a passion for life and love of family and friends. The relationships she cultivated throughout her life has spanned a lifetime. Eunice enjoyed life to the fullest! Her passions included teaching, cooking, traveling, dancing, laughing and creating precious fun memories with family and friends.
On July 13, 2024 at 4:05 am, Eunice was called from labor to reward to receive her crown in glory. She was preceded in death by her both parents, sisters, Alma Bowers, Joyce Gaddis, brother, Julius Gaddis.
Eunice was the cornerstone of her family and leaves the following to cherish her memory; four children; Darrell Gaddis (Tammy) Cleveland, OH. Minister David Gaddis Marianna, FL. Minister Don Gaddis, Cleveland, OH. Alisha Mills, La Plata, MD. Eight grandchildren: Dominique Johnson (Goldlyn), Selena Mosley-Gaddis, Erykah Howard, Darrell Gaddis Jr., Justice Mills, D’Mia Gaddis, David “Jack” Gaddis, and Danielle Gaddis. One great grandchild; Saryah Howard. One Sister Juliette Lewis, Best friend; Minister Linda Cooper and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
