Floyd Robinson was born on February 10, 1954 to parents, Rev. Coleman Robinson Sr. and Rosie Lee Robinson in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from South High School in 1974. After high school, he worked as a car mechanic and retired from Cut Rate Muffler.
Floyd was the father of 3 children, David & Dava Robinson and Florisa Dingle.
He had a love for music. Many times, he didn’t know the names of the songs that he liked, so he would call family members all times of the night to ask who made a particular song. He also loved basketball. He played regularly on Sundays with his brother, Joe, and childhood friends.
Floyd was a jokester, who loved playing jokes on his family members and friends. He also enjoyed playing cards. Last, but not least, he loved to eat, especially at his beloved sister’s, Floures’s, house.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Coleman Robinson Sr. & Rosie Robinson; sister, Betty Robinson-Carruthers; brother, David Robinson, and grandson, Damico Robinson.
He is survived by his children, David Robinson, Dava Robinson and Florisa Dingle; siblings, devoted sister Floure Beasley, Rosa (John) Wellons, Nellie (Vincent) Taylor, Coleman Robinson Jr. and Joseph Robinson; sister-in-law, Barbra Robinson, and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
