Garland Thomas Toney, was born on July 19, 1944. He passed away peacefully on January 23, 2021, at Akron City Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio, and graduated from South High School. He believed in a higher power. He was an operator engineer. He was married to the late Linda J. Toney His hobbies were painting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Regina Toney; sister, Bernice Austin; brother Marion Toney.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Tiara Toney, Latonya Dent; god-daughter, Yvette; sons, Kevin and Audley; daughter-in-law, Jeri McGill; grandchildren, Courtney, Delon, Aaliyah, Jeshaun, Steve, Tony, Breana, Alexis, Tyson, Garland, Davion, Felisha; step-grandchild, Ontario; great-grandchildren, Delon, Milan, London; special friends, Herb J., Joel S., April T., Jimmy D., Orba C.
