Interment ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2017 at Rosehill Memorial Gardens. We will celebrate her life  beginning at Noon Saturday, September 2 at Our Lady of The Cedars, 507 S. Cleveland Massillon Road, Fairlawn, OH.

Genetta Boyd Jackson received her crown and is safely in the arms of God. Genetta was a Journeyman for 28 years, employed by the Akron Beacon Journal and retired in 2002.

Her legacy continues through her children, Crawford, Byron and Alvin Jackson, Gloria McClurkin and Patty (Willie) McAllister; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a sister Gwendolyn Spates; a brother Sonny Boyd; nieces, nephews, and beloved friends, Ann Crosby and Alvin David Lee. Acknowledgments may be sent to Patty McAllister at 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307.
