Condolences to family and friends, RIP my friend
Condolences to the family of GEORGE, I was one of George teacher at the commercial school ,near to his home in Tunapuna.. As a student (in his teens) he was peaceful, polite and the smile was always there. Football was his life. When the priest and his football friend spoke of him I was happy to hear that he maintained the said personality as an adult. MAY HE REST IN PEACE, he was really a beautiful person, always with a nice smile, never vex.🇳🇴

George's light of the care of others and respect for humanity will continue to burn bright within his family and the many people he impacted with his service in higher education. Thank you, my friend, George. Your friend, Anne Nelson, Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State University.
To the family of George Bovell,
Celebrating the life of George now and forever.
George was my friend and colleague for over 15 years at Cleveland State University. I thank you for sharing a caring, hardworking, and passionate human being who cared about others, from students to his colleagues, and of course his love of his daughters and family. He was a proud girl, dad.
I will continue to celebrate George's life work in helping CSU students who participate in the TRIO Program and not in the program achieve their academic and career goals. George's care of others was clearly revealed in his passion for his career profession. Serving the TRIO Program of students and colleagues was more than a job or task, as his career actions and passionate efforts impacted people's lives and my life. George was such a caring friend to me during his time of service. I ask that you embrace the Georges in your professional circle who care beyond the call of work tasks by honoring George for a lifetime. I plan to continue to honor and celebrate my friend George as I continue my work at CSU. Transitioning from this earthly life does not stop one's positive impact on a community, family, colleagues, or the world. May the Lord be with you.
My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the entire Bovell family for the loss of their loved one. I only met Mr. Bovell once, at the graduation of his daughter, one of my former graduate students. Though he was already ill, he radiated life energy, strength, and grace. And pride for the achievement of his brilliant daughter and for the beautiful family surrounding him. We are what we leave behind, and Mr. Bovell's life on this earth continues through those he formed, loved, helped, and led, and in all the good work that he inspired them to do. He is now resting in peace, having made the world a better place.
Thank you soul much George, for the guidance you gave me while freshly landing in Cleveland. Your kindness and patience with me has never left. May your journey in transition be with ease, and comfort in this time to your family and loved ones.
"Dr. Kat" was the name George gave me when I started college. And now that I am a physician, I tell my patients to call me Dr. Kat. I would not be where I am today without the generosity and support that George so selflessly gave. Not only to me, but to so many others who were part of the TRIO family. He was kind and had the most beautiful soul. He was always happy and smiling, even on his hardest days. He was a treasure to this world and will be greatly missed. My sincerest condolences to his family and I wish you all comfort during this hard time.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
I sincerely extend my deepest condolences to the Bovell family. It is hard to believe that Mr. George has gone to be with the Lord. While his passing is heartbreaking, I find comfort in knowing that he lived a truly remarkable life, one that touched and shaped so many others.
I will never forget the first time I met Mr. George at the Undergraduate Student Office at Cleveland State University. As a freshman, I was overwhelmed with uncertainty, and he immediately noticed the fear in my eyes. He called me into his office and asked what I needed. I explained that I was trying to register for classes but couldn’t due to an outstanding balance from the previous semester. As an international student, my only source of income was my on-campus job, and without registration, I wouldn’t be able to work. My family was going through a difficult time, with my father suffering a heart attack and a stroke, and I didn’t know how I was going to make it through.
Without hesitation, Mr. George asked when I could pay the balance. When I told him my family could send the money by September, he picked up the phone, called the Finance Department, and had the hold removed from my account. He registered my classes, reviewed my degree plan to make sure I was on the right track, and even provided me with books and access codes for all my courses.
To my surprise, a few days later, I checked my student account and saw that my $4,000 balance had been cleared. When I reached out to him, thinking there had been a mistake, he simply told me not to worry about it. It was only later that I found out he had spoken to a professor in the Economics Department, advocating on my behalf, and secured a scholarship that covered my balance every semester. Beyond that, he always made sure I had the resources I needed—grants, books, summer jobs with full-time hours, and steady work during the school year.
Mr. George was more than just a mentor; he was a guardian angel. When my father passed away, my now-wife had to call him to help break the news to me. He stood by me through it all, offering unwavering support. Because of him, I was able to graduate college, join the U.S. Navy, earn a master’s degree, and build a good life post Navy with my wife and our two beautiful boys.
Words cannot express the depth of my gratitude for everything he did for me and my family. Mr. George was a rare and selfless soul, and we will always cherish his kindness, generosity, and unwavering belief in others. I will miss him dearly, and I will always love him. May he rest in eternal peace.
Dear Arlana, Ariana, Alyssa, Ariel, and Alexis,
I was heartbroken to hear about your husband/father. I know this is a very difficult time for you. My hope is that the memories you have with him will sustain you and bring you peace.
All my love, Odette Hankins
Dear Bovell Family,
We are deeply sorry for your loss. While some of our family did not know George closely, his life and legacy are evident in the love and strength that define your family. The Bovell family has always inspired—turning loss into love and hardship into unwavering closeness. From afar, it is clear that George carried that spirit, leaving a lasting imprint on those around him.
We may walk different paths in faith, but one truth remains universal: family is sacred, and in the end, it is what we hold most dear. George’s kindness, generosity, and devotion to his loved ones are a testament to that. His presence will be deeply missed, but his impact will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
May you find strength in one another during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
With deepest sympathy,
Rick, Pram, Matthew, and Rachael

Dear Bovell family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. George was a phenomenal man. It was my pleasure to help him when he was a student at CSU and a pleasure to work with him as my colleague.
He worked on one end of campus and I on another so whenever we’d see one another the first thing he would say is “T” in his beautiful accent. I’d the. ask about the fragrance he was wearing that day because he always smelled amazing. That became our ritual.
I know you all want him physically here but God said it was time. He fought long and hard and I so admire him for not wanting sympathy and leaving CSU so focus on his health and spending time with family. I hate that I have never met any of you to tell you how great a person George was while he was living but just know he was loved, liked and appreciated. Heaven gained a great one! May God grant you peace and understand with his transition from this earthly place.
Being a first generation college student coming from the Caribbean and having you as a mentor and a father figure was key. I wish the Bovell family strength and comfort during this time. You will be missed Mr. George.
May you rest in peace George. You were an amazing teammate and leader on our St Francis College soccer team. You were total class. Someone to look up, and emulate. I’m so proud to have been your teammate. My deepest condolences to your beautiful family. Your spirit will live on forever.
