Geraldine Seals (Fletcher) was born August 4, 1945 to Edward and Ceola Fletcher in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
Geraldine attended schools in Thibodaux and later met Alfred Seals whom she married. The couple moved to Cleveland, Ohio. From this union 5 children were born, Sandra Dee Seals, Angela Paulette Seals, Valerie Seals, Alfred Seals Jr., Troy Oscar Seals Sr..
Geraldine accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was a dedicated member of East Mount Vernon Baptist Church which she attended faithfully. She learned a trade and gained employment with Job and Family Services in the payment processing department, in which she retired from. She enjoyed attending church regularly, going to bible study and spreading God’s word.
Geraldine loved her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She leaves to mourn her daughter, Valerie, Alfred (Bernadette), Troy Jr., Tashyna Seals, Keshawn Seals, Deamonte Seals, brothers Edward Fletcher, (Thibodaux Louisiana), Earl Fletcher, (Thibodaux Louisiana), sisters Enola Tachno, (Midland, Louisiana), Lalifiyah Yasin, (Thibodaux, Louisiana), Shaheeda Raoof, (Midland, Louisiana), and Hesta Fletcher, (Thibodaux, Louisiana), and a host of Grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Eddie Fletcher and Ceola R. Fletcher, brothers, Oliver Fletcher Sr., Ned Fletcher Sr., Louis Fletcher and Earl Nicky Fletcher. sisters Betsy Duncan, Delores F. Mack, Rose Mary Spot, Margaret F. Williams, Grandparents Emma Williams-Robertson and Henry Louis Robertson, Grandparents, Samuel Fletcher, and Marguerite Jones Fletcher, her children, Sandra Dee Mays, Angela P. Seals, Troy Oscar Seals, grandchildren Tiffany Seals, Sierra Moore and great grandchildren Adriante Moore Sr and Allijah and Al’mir Smith.
To all of her family and friends don’t weep for Jerry because she is at peace. Remember her laughter, smile, talks and how she loved you all. But remember God loved her best. To God be the glory for all things she has done. Praise his holy name. Amen
