Geraldine Wilcox is more than just a good Woman. She is a Phenomenal Friend, A
Great supporter, Amazing Mother and Grandmother, The Perfect Aunt, Sister and
much more. If you know Geraldine then you know how welcoming she is, Geraldine’s
heart is so big I cannot count how many times Geraldine has opened her doors to
give someone a warm bed, hot meal, and a home in their times of need she would’ve
invited anyone into her home giving them the opportunity to get “on their feet.” Geraldine’s’ house is a safe haven to many and through the lives and hearts she
touched. Geraldine was loved by all.
Geraldine finds love & excitement out of simplicity. She loves her weekend
shopping trips and family visits. Geraldine loved watching her Dr. Phil and
Westerns. She would always make sure she called and checked up on everyone.
Geraldine Wilcox went to join siblings: Leon Hollis and Chelly Hollis-Brown.
Leaving behind Elizabeth Hollis-Standifer (Johnny), Earl Wilcox
(Sharon), Charles Wilcox (Joyce), Moses Junior Wilcox. Her significant
other Kenneth Patton; her children, Lolitta (Mike), Wadel (Kristin) and Walter Wilcox.
Grandchildren: Tiana, Michael, Wadel Jr, Mikeya, Wadayjah, Antayjah, Mikwan,
Malina, Mandel, Jayden, and Jordan. Nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces,
nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Notice that we speak of Geraldine in present tense. This is because, though she
may not be physically with us her name, her vision, her kindness, her cooking because
(We all loved those signature sweet potato pies) and her love will live on. Stories will
be passed on about how wonderful Geraldine is and how amazing she treated us.
She will live on. As long as there is love on this earth and in our hearts Geraldine will
continue to live, longer than we ever could’ve imagined. Geraldine has transitioned
to become Our Warrior in the Sky. Rest in heaven “Gangsta Granny”
