Glindia J. James Born February 3, 1964 at the Booth Memorial Hospital to Linda Berry and James Teal , she was a shining star on a snowy blizzard day. Being a gift from God she was John O & Lillie B Hunt answer to prayer for a baby girl, 11 days after birth ( Feb 14 ). They raised her from that day.

Educated in the Cleveland Public School System, she graduated 1982 from the James Ford Rhodes High School .Glindia Loved Communications. She applied for WVIZ TV at the age of 17 in spite of denial and racism, yet being great with finances and Communications it all would come together later in life.

Glindia was a lover of children. SHE LOVE CHILDREN, the neighborhood children, church children, foreign and domestic they LOVED Glindia. They would often ask her, “Mrs. James can I get one of those meat sandwiches?” NEVER DENYING A CHILD .

She believed Ministry is more than being behind a sacred desk.

During her Ministry to children, she was blessed to help with 3 sisters, the Taylor Girls; Emani, My and Arielle. She shared with me in her last months of life I would love to see my babies Fortunately during the Ohio Northwest Jurisdiction Convocation. She looked across the sanctuary and saw Emani and smiled all the way home.

Glindia was a worshipper, her soprano voice could change the atmosphere. While singing at Prayer Tower COGIC under Pastor Henderson, Glindia was heard by Tim’s family (Connie, Michelle and Gilbert) they said “you must hear this young lady sing”. Some years had passed, her parents decided to move their membership to Hayes Temple COGIC under Pastor J.W. Hayes. It was there Timothy & Glindia would meet, laugh, rehearse, worship, cry, and smile.

She had the opportunity to rehearse with Dr.Mattie Moss Clark, Professor Stevenson, Timothy Wright, Andrae Crouch, The Butler family of New York / Omaha, Vicky Winans just to name a few .

Glindia was also a visionary (prophetess). If she told you something was going to occur, prepare yourself for it to occur. She had the gift of prayer; two individuals were blessed by her prayer, Dr. Lisa Peoples-Nunn and Mrs Laverne Dawson (Wayne). During her beauty salon appointment the spirit of GOD moved upon Glindia to pray for the Dawsons unborn child, obeying the lord, worship manifested in the salon, everyone was in tears. The Lord Delivered the child from its sickness. Dr. Lisa Peoples – Nunn was stricken with an illness whereas THE LORD again told Glindia to lay her hands upon her. GiGi ran to the back refusing to interrupt Pastor Willis’ sermon, but God had her run to the front and obey his will, Dr Nunn is a living testimony.

Many of you may recall something she told you from God. What a blessing it is to obey the Lord.

Glindia loved her family and her children. She loved Walking with Mrs. Gilbert and working in her yard landscaping. She had moments of treasure with the children graduating school and entering college, oh what a joy to her she had. TRAVELING with her family. MIAMI FLORIDA, MILAN ITALY, MONTEGO BAY JAMAICA, PARIS FRANCE, LONDON ENGLAND, LOS ANGELES, LAS VEGAS, (Tim likes Vegas, LOL ) ORLANDO FLORIDA, (Disney for the children ) SAVANNAH GEORGIA (a favorite place of GiGi’s ) MEMPHIS TENNESSEE ATLANTA GEORGIA, W PALM BEACH, and numerous destinations. During our last trip to SAN FRANCISCO, for Bishop Macklin A great moment for Glindia when cousin Paulette allowed her to go to a Milano fashion show (you couldn’t tell her nothing) Gigi was a FASHIONISTA. Often telling her Tim how GOD allowed her to be healed at age 11, she would serve him until her ending days.

Glindia also served as Associate Pastor at different ministries along with her husband; NSRC from (1997 – 2006), Citadel of Hope (2006-2009), St. Robert (2009-2016), Beautiful Gate Fellowship Church (2016-Present), Rome Missionary Baptist Church (2016-Present). She remained faithful until God called her home.

Glindia leaves to cherish her memory , Timothy ( husband 39 yrs ) Tiara Glindia ( daughter ) T. Brandon James II (son ) Sisters; Diana Griffin (Lawton) Sandy, Susie ,Janice, Michelle, Delene, Brother in Law -Paul (Bridgette)P Nieces; Brittany Woods, Rachel Stoll ( Luke) Kenella Chatmon , Naomi Holden, Ashley Williams Gulley , Nephews; Christopher (Tashara) Janssen, Xavier Godmothers; AREA HAMMOND and family Lucille Weatherspoon and family Matriarch Aunt Ethel Mae James (97) from Chicago and a HOST of relatives & friends.
