Gloria Dean (Giles) Cummings passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 after a long battle with dementia.
She was born September 27, 1934 in Popular Bluff, Missouri to Aulden and Hattie Giles. She went on to marry her husband, Walter D. Cummings Sr.
Gloria Dean loved caring and serving people. She was a devoted church goer who was on the usher board. She also sang in the church choir.
Later on, Gloria worked at KeyBank. It suited her servant’s heart. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32, “…and be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Gloria is survived by her husband, Walt D. Cummings Sr.; her 2 children, Walt A. Cummings Jr. and Judith A. Cummings Eldridge; sister, Clemintine (Bobby) Williams of San Francisco, CA; sister-in-laws, Dianne Giles and Jenny Bailey, both of Akron, Ohio, as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews. All of these, she loved and touched deeply.
