Greg, is what his family called him, was born June 19, 1953, to Durham and Sarah Reeves. They welcomed the third of their seven children to their home at 10630 Hudson Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. Following a valiant Night with heart disease, he gave up the battle on December 16, 2025.
Greg was quiet-spoken and somewhat reserved growing up. He had a soft smile that was slightly mischievous and slightly angelic. He attended Cleveland Public Schools and went on to follow in his father’s footsteps in the baking industry. He saw the need to improve his skills and enrolled in Cuyahoga Community College where he earned an Associate Degree in Hospitality. Greg married and was the proud father of one son, Roman Reeves and the grandfather of Jasmine Reeves.
Greg witnessed the loss of both his parents and three siblings. He is survived by his son, Roman Reeves who remained steadfast in his father’s care, three siblings and a host of relatives. We honor his passing this day, June 19, 2025.
