Gwendolyn Janet Salone was born on September 5, 1938 to James and Elnora Salone in St. Louis, Missouri. She was one of two children born to this union.
Gwendolyn relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where she attended and graduated from John Hay High School. Shortly after graduating high school, Gwendolyn took classes to become a shorthanded court reporter. She later began to work for J.F. Lighting in downtown Cleveland, where she dedicated more than 20 years as an employee before retiring.
In her free time, Gwendolyn enjoyed traveling while enjoying the cultures of different cities, visiting casinos, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
On July 7, 2023, Gwendolyn’s work was completed on earth and God called her home. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Elnora; and her brother, James Salone.
Gwendolyn leaves to cherish her four sons, James Salone (Levon); Vincent Salone, Eric Salone and Darrin Salone (Sheila); 6 grandchildren, Tiona, Jarrell, Brittany, Celina, Erica, and Daniella, 3 great grandchildren; a special great-niece, Lacotcha Harris, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.
