Harlus Calvin Howard was the youngest of four children born to Roosevelt Howard and Mae Jewel (Price) Howard on October 6, 1964 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was educated in the Cleveland Public school system where he went on to work as a Chef at Fabian’s Restaurant then later working as a Security Specialist.
Given the nickname “Cha” by his mother, he was known for his many talents especially music which was his first love. He could play the guitar, piano and make music beats, but was undeniably known for his gift of singing and karaoke. Cha had other hobbies that he loved to do in his spare time such as fishing, playing pool, building computers, collecting antiques, researching history and astronomy.
Harlus passed away on November 30, 2024 and is preceded in death by his father Roosevelt Howard.
He leaves to cherish his life and great memories, his mother Mae Jewel Howard. His children whom he loved dearly Jocelyn (Ossie) Blocker of Akron, Ohio; Harlisia McCord of Garfield Hts, Ohio; Rashekha Moore of Cleveland, Ohio; and Makayla Howard of Mayfield Hts, Ohio. His siblings Carolyn Price of Cleveland, Ohio; Cecil Howard of Cleveland, Ohio and Mary (Harold) Brazzell of Cleveland, Ohio. His grandchildren Legrual McCord III, Letrell McCord, Ledanien McCord, Jaden Blocker, Javien Blocker, Joshua Blocker, Antonio Moore and Darsha Moore. His great grandchildren Kariya Moore an Khyoy Moore. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom all will miss him dearly.
