Harriette Elizabeth Bailey was born in Hobson City, Alabama to parents Thomas and Alverta Bailey. At an early age, she was nurtured in the Christian faith at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. It was there she accepted Christ as her personal Savior. Upon moving to Cleveland, Harriette joined Gethsemane Baptist Church and was an active member until her demise.
Although she was an only child, Harriette lovingly adopted many friends into her heart as siblings and extended family which includes a dear friend and adopted sister, Lillie B. Harris.
Harriette departed this life on Thursday, January 28, 2016.
