Jacob Isaiah Vinson Sr. was born October 27th, 1981 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Barbara and James Vinson, and grew up in a loving household. From an early age Jacob demonstrated interests in drawing, dancing, and displayed quite a characteristic personality, demonstrating kindness, humor, intelligence, and resilience. He was a bright student in his classes, often carrying a 4.0 GPA between first grade and senior year of high school. Jacob graduated from Max Hayes high school in Cleveland, Ohio in 2000.
Jacob was a man of many passions and talents. He found joy in cooking, dancing, drawing, and beautifying his home. Whether it was spending quality time with his children, gardening, or trying to sing, later in life he developed a fondness for photography. He lived life with enthusiasm and gratitude. Family was at the center of Jacob’s life. He was a devoted and loving husband to Christina Vinson, whom he married on December 5th, 2014. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
As a father, he was a pillar of strength and guidance to his children Jacob Jr. (22), Jamirion Vinson (14), LaNiah Wiggins (26), Christian James (20), and Isaiah Vinson (9), teaching them the values of hard work, compassion, and integrity. His grandchild Jacob Vinson III (1) was his pride and joy, and he delighted in every moment he spent with him.
Jacob also made a lasting impact in his career. He initially pursued a career in management, later, he became an anesthesia technician. As an employee of Cleveland Clinic, and University Hospitals, he was known for his generosity and commitment to helping others. Jacob’s dedication and loyalty earned him the respect and adoration of colleagues. Friends and neighbors often describe him as someone who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Jacob’s acts of kindness will never be forgotten.
Jacob will be remembered for his warm smile, hearty laugh, unlimited dance moves, and unwavering positivity. Jacob had a unique ability to make others feel seen and valued, and his presence brought light into every room he entered. He taught others around him the importance of living with love, gratitude, and purpose.
Jacob is survived by his wife Christina Vinson, Brothers and sisters Berrie Vinson, Monica Farris, Tracey weaver, Angel Vincent, and Lavell Vinson, He is also survived by his aunts Regina Crittenden, and Jacqueline Crittenden, and great niece. He will be missed by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, family, and coworkers. He is reunited in eternal rest with Cynthia Crittenden (grandmother) Barbara and James Vinson (parents) Joyce Crittenden (aunt), Israel Vinson (brother) and Christopher Weaver (brother).
