Jacqueline M. Rollins was born on May 22, 1954, to James and Bernice Riley. She had two sisters, Joyce, and Brenda. She attended Central Howard High School in Akron and graduated in 1972. With her former husband, Carl Rollins, she produced three beautiful children, Patrice, Teresa, and Carl.
She attended Akron University where she became a charter member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Upsilon Epsilon Chapter. After receiving her nursing degree, she started working at The Ohio State University Medical Center. She was a nurse for 35 years before retiring. She soon went back to work after being retired for four years. Jackie joined the Gamma Eta Chapter Chi Eta Phi Sorority Incorporated in 2000. She committed 21 years to the Chi Eta Phi’s. Jackie enjoyed traveling, reading, and taking care of her grandchildren. She dedicated her life to helping others through nursing and her sorority.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bernice Riley; sister, Joyce A. Riley; uncle, John Little.
Jackie leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Patrice Rollins of Solon, Ohio, Teresa Rollins of Columbus, Ohio; son, Carl Rollins II of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Saniya and Carl Rollins of Columbus, Ohio, Ziriah Johnson of Columbus, Ohio, Gabrielle and Grace Hannett of Solon, Ohio; sister, Brenda (Roger) Turner of Akron, Ohio; nephew, James (Debbie) Riley of Akron, Ohio; nieces, Monique (Thomas) Gutierrez of Edgewood, Kentucky, Nicole Turner of Akron, Ohio; great nieces and nephews, James (Eboni) Riley, Jr. of Newport News, Virginia, Tiffany Riley of Akron, Ohio, Jazminah Gresby of Newport News, Virginia, Eli Guiterrez of Edgewood, Kentucky, Jaxson Riley of Newport News, Virginia. She will be remembered by her good friends, Roberta Glover and Verdall McCartney of Columbus, Ohio. She also leaves a host of family members and friends to cherish her memory.
